Disney's Animal Kingdom is set to expand with a new land called Tropical Americas, featuring the village of Pueblo Esperanza. This 11-acre area, inspired by the cultural richness of Central and South America, will include a large hacienda that will serve as one of the biggest quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort.
The land will feature a central fountain and a working carousel, created by a woodcarver and themed around animals from Disney stories.
Tropical Americas will also introduce two new signature attractions:
- Indiana Jones Adventure: This attraction will take guests on an expedition led by Indiana Jones into a newly discovered Maya temple, rumored to house a mythical creature.
- Encanto Ride-Through Attraction: This attraction, inspired by the film "Encanto," will allow guests to explore Antonio’s rainforest room inside the magical Casita, with opportunities to encounter characters from the Madrigal family.
Construction is scheduled to begin later this year, with the land expected to open in 2027.
