Voices of Liberty performance in the American Adventure Rotunda - January 2022
Posted: Wednesday January 12, 2022 10:06am ET by WDWMAGIC Staff

The Voices of Liberty returned to the American Adventure rotunda this past weekend with an updated sound and a new look.

Gone are the traditional costumes and most of the early American songs, and instead, we see and hear a much more modern show from the nine-piece a capella group.

Watch the video below to hear the Voices of Liberty perform once again inside the rotunda. (4K YouTube version)

Some of the songs included in the 15-minute show are Stars and Stripes Forever, Moon River, You'll Be in My Heart, and Star-Spangled Banner.

Many of the performers are new to the Voices of Liberty, and we understand that more changes will be coming, including updates to the song list and new costumes.

The Voices of Liberty sound fantastic in the rotunda, and the intimate space highlights their vocal talents so much better than when they perform on the theater stage with microphones.

You can see the Voices of Liberty inside The American Adventure rotunda daily, with current showtimes of 12pm, 12:45pm, 1:30pm, 2:15pm, 3pm, 3:45pm, and 4:30pm.

There have been casting calls for street entertainers - I assume in Epcot / Boardwalk. Not sure if the location was mentioned.

And we have no hints that entertainment we had or currently have is getting restored....

It's not that far away either.

It’s not 2025 yet.

2 of the former Boardwalk / Storybook Circus Jugglers are performing for the holidays at Disneys Hollywood Studios - great to see them back and hopefully they keep them on.

I mean we kept hearing 2025 was the year of entertainment at WDW. So far, we got Starlight and two new shows (Mermaid at DHS and Villains) at DHS. Is the new shows at DHS meant to help with capacity gain/losses during Muppets or Disney Jr. Dance closure? Dreams that Soar was wildly popular but was such a operations nightmare, I'd be surprised it returns at Disney Springs in 2025. Epcot and AK have what coming? Either way, not a ton of entertainment for my taste like they have been teasing. Not yet.

Bummer- I kinda felt like the acts were cut to make budget room for the Star Wars hotel gigs… and so my hopes were that when that starship “crashed”, possibly the funding might come back… Those acts really helped to set the parks above others.

I haven’t been around these parts in forever- so forgive me for not going too far back to see… has there been any movement to bring back ANY of the Citizens of Hollywood?

Well I do go over there to see some of my musician friends if they are playing over there and House of Blues is a nice dining option. So sometimes for me. Marie

I just don’t understand why they expanded it so much with more of the same. They could have taken some of the expanded space and built some clubs. I don’t even go to West Side…and the 7 Christmas trees placed there (and drone viewing in the summer) tell me I’m not alone.

I always miss Pleasure Island as a whole. Definitely better before!! Marie
