The day I heard The Walt Disney Story was taken out of the Magic Kingdom, I just shook my head. How could they do that? Without Walt Disney, the Magic Kingdom wouldn't even exist! It was the only park in Florida that he, himself had his hands on. Maybe it wasn't a thrill-a-minute attraction, but not everybody cares about thrills. There are so many people out there that are Disney Company history buffs. This was a great place to get a fix. At least One Man's Dream has come along. It was high time Walt was put back in the spotlight.
This attraction wasn't too bad, but wasn't the best attraction in the park. The salute to Walt Disney just didn't seem to fit well in the theming of Main Street making it's location seem odd. The film was ok, but wasn't the most exciting presentation I've seen in the parks. Everything about it now pales in comparison to the One Man's Dream exhibit at Disney-MGM Studios which seems to be in a much more logical location and has a much better presentaion.
BEING A WALT DISNEY FAN I ENJOYED IT BUT I GUESS FOR THE OCASSIONAL TOURIST IT WAS NO BIG DEAL.
The only place at Disney to hear about the founder. I believe it should have stayed, but luckily, it's been released on video. I will still miss the professor Owl!!
