EPCOT's quick-service eateries, Connections Eatery, and Regal Eagle Smokehouse, have added new items to their menus. Here's a look at what's new.

Connections Eatery in World Celebration

Chocolate Matcha Baumkuchen $5.99
For dessert lovers, the Chocolate Matcha Baumkuchen mixes matcha and chocolate in a layered cake that offers a unique taste experience.

Niçoise-style Salad with Seared Tuna $12.99
If you're looking for something lighter, the Niçoise-style Salad with Seared Tuna might be a good choice. It has crispy greens, wedged potatoes, tomatoes, olives, green beans, white beans, and a dijon vinaigrette. The seared tuna adds some protein to the mix.

Black Bean Burger $13.49
Plant-based options are growing, and the Black Bean Burger is a solid addition. Replacing the California Burger, tt features a house-made black bean patty with lettuce, tomato, guacamole, and chipotle sauce on a toasted brioche bun.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue in World Showcase

BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich $13.99
The BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich offers a plant-based alternative to traditional barbecue. Pulled BBQ jackfruit is served with coleslaw and pickles on garlic toast. It comes with a choice of sides.

House Salad $12.29
For a more straightforward option the House Salad includes hearts of romaine, tomatoes, red onions, and cornbread croutons with smokey ranch dressing and a choice of a house-smoked meat.

Disney had one years ago that was pretty good, my carnivore dh was upset when it was replaced. That said some are very good and some are Elmer's glue

I'm vegetarian and am all for a good burger. However, the issue I always have with black bean burgers is the texture. They're usually pretty dry and "paste-like", IMO. Interested to try the jack-fruit burger though. And definitely will be giving the dessert a try--I love matcha!

I'm almost certain the tuna nicoise salad was at least 13 when BOG still had qs lunch, don't remind Disney or they'll raise it again;)

The tuna nicoise salad was on the original Connections menu in April 2022. It was $10.29 so it's gone up 29%. https://www.wdwmagic.com/dining/connections-cafe/menus/lunch-and-dinner/apr2022.htm

I think that's the distinction. Plant based is more broad than plant based meat. Everything that came out about the relationship between Disney and Impossible was about plant based meat. More specifically there's a texture difference. I think if Disney finely ground the black beans to texturally make it seem more like a meat then Impossible could call foul, but this one seems very clearly show bean chunks.

The BB burger and the jackfruit sandwich both look pretty good. Good to have some non-meat options

Horrible options but that’s not my market.

Terrible

- and wondering if it's because black beans aren't exactly trying to be meat

I just checked the menu and the “power greens salad” is still available - I was worried this new salad replaced it.

I hope the salad looks a little more plentiful than what's pictured. Because what I see is one leaf of romaine lettuce, four slices of beef brisket, a handful of croutons, and a few tomatoes. I've had a different version of the cake at connections and I really liked this dessert. I love watching them make it too.

I mean in reality, none of those pictures will come anything close to what is served to you at the actual QS location. I'm not sure why they can't photograph it as it is presented to guests (at least on the same serving dishes/etc.)

I'm not a Vegetarian and the Jack Fruit BBQ looks very good. Can't say that about the black bean burger.

The black bean patties imo are better than the Impossible/Beyond. They don't taste artificial. That being said, surprised that they went this route considering they have an agreement with Impossible to provide plant based "meats" property wide. Unless that lapsed.
