A new fireworks viewing dessert party will soon be on offer at the Magic Kingdom, giving guests a view of the nightly fireworks spectacular from aboard one of the Ferry boats, complete with an onboard dessert party.

Beginning October 5 2015 and taking place on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, 'Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise' will cost $99 for adults, and $69 for ages 3-9 (including tax and gratuity). Capacity will be limited to 150 guests per cruise. You can make reservations now on the Disney website or via 407-WDW-DINE.

The menu includes:

“The Grand” Key Lime Tart
Polynesian De-constructed Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Contemporary “Traditional with a Twist” Spiced Flourless Chocolate Cake
“Main Street” Mickey Balloon Tarts
Mini “Fireworks” Cupcakes with a Pop
Cinderella’s Sugar Slipper with Orange Financier
Florida Mango Panna Cotta
Sparkling wine
Coffee
Signature punch

Guest check-in at the TTC Ferry Boat dock will be available starting 75 minutes prior to the fireworks, and the event officially begins 60 minutes prior to the scheduled fireworks.

My husband did this last year as a surprise for our 10th anniversary! It was great! Would definitely do again!

I haven’t done it but in my opinion it’s not worth the money. If you don’t want the crowded hub, watch from behind the castle, you’ll get an awesome view of the fireworks. You’ll miss some effects, but you also would on the boat. If you want to pay money for a guaranteed good view and some cupcakes.... choose the one with the view inside the park. If you're bored and want to see what it’s like to watch fireworks from a boat.... hop the regular ferry at an opportune time.

I know its a thread bump, but has anyone done this recently? Would love to read any current opinions as we are thinking of trying it. Just can't decide if its worth it for the money.

I would just rather the resort put more effort into things that do affect all the guests....things we all can enjoy. a good example are the Christmas opps holiday stuff coming to MGM studios.

Oh I understand that sediment for sure but just don't understand the "Disney money grabbing" comments in this thread when its not something that is being forced on any ticket holder, its just another option. Its an option I would never pay for but there are some that do and want to see these types of events, for whatever reason.

of course it was an over the top scenario however the point was just because people pay something (say a regular 4 dollar fee) doesn't mean it's a good idea or value.

No offensive but what you just wrote makes no sense and can't be applied to this situation. There is a difference when something is offered and not required. ATM's are required to get cash so 100 dollar fee would be ridicoulus in your scenario.

Yes. And many in-park effects. Projections, lasers, smoke, fire, low-level pyro off buildings. Presumably all of this isn’t visible from Seven Seas Lagoon.

It won’t be long before Disney charges $100 to enter the park and then $5 each to ride an attraction.. Onride photo and gift shop merch purchase will be mandatory to exit :rolleyes: Why are all premium events dessert parties anyway, can’t they come up with something a little more exciting and worthwhile? It’s boring.

Having done several Wishes fireworks cruises it the past, I found the view to be great. While it is not quite the same as being in the center of the hub, you also don't have to deal with all of the BS that comes with watching fireworks in the park. As long as they don't oversell the boat, it will be an option I always consider.
