Disney is adding more alcohol to three of its Magic Kingdom table service restaurants this month.

Since opening day in 1971, the Magic Kingdom followed a strict no-alcohol policy, but that changed in late 2012 with the opening of the 'Be Our Guest Restaurant' in new Fantasyland. Since then, alcoholic drinks have expanded to more Magic Kingdom table service restaurants, mostly restricted to beers and wine. Notably, Disney is expanding the alcoholic beverage menus to include more specialty spirit-based cocktails.

The Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen will now offer both the Jungle Bird Cocktail and the Golden Haze Margarita. The Jungle Bird Cocktail features Gosling Black Rum, Campari, cane syrup, and pineapple and lime juices while the Golden Haze Margarita contains Teremana Blanco Tequila, Grand Marnier, agave syrup, lime juice, and smoked chili bitters.

At Liberty Tree Tavern and The Diamond Horseshoe, you’ll find the Gold Rush–a new cocktail with Elijah Craig Bourbon, lemon juice, and honey garnished with crystalized ginger–and the Magical Beacon Cocktail–a special offering to celebrate the 50th Anniversary Celebration featuring Empress 1908 Gin, Bols Blue Curaçao, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, almond orgeat, lemon, hibiscus grenadine, and souvenir glow cube.

A glass of wine at Tony's helps the food taste better.

Companies move on after their founders pass and some decisions made are good and others are not. Adding alcohol in MK is only an issue to a few select group of people. Oh and Walt has long finished rotting so no worries there.

Seems to be the prevailing argument in favor of the majority of the changes the company is making these days. Too bad, I guess, for the rotting stiff that the company and resort are both still named after him. 🤷‍♂️

You can alcohol in the magic kingdom anyway if you really wanted to so is it really that big of a deal?

Prince-1Sep 19, 2022

Obviously you have some issues. 😉
