Here is a latest look at the construction progress on The Cake Bake Shop on Disney's BoardWalk.

We still don't have an opening date, the current progress looks like we won't see it open until at least the winter. The Cake Bake shop was originally planned to open in 2023, and has progressed very slowly. However, the restaurant did begin its hiring process in March 2024.

Describing the new Boardwalk eatery, Disney says, "The Cake Bake Shop will bring exquisite dining, delicious Afternoon Tea, delectable desserts, marvelous champagne and fanciful cocktails for an extraordinary and whimsical experience."

Bring in a couple of carnies to run it and give them a cut, they will sling some dogs

There’s a reason I only stay at Epcot/Skyliner resorts. With the occasional AKL :)

The price wasn’t the problem. It’s the wait. I waited 20 minutes for a cold street dog. It was fine, and for scientific purposes I will order again, but they were extremely backed up and not even busy. I’d hate to see what happens during peak times.

I was at the Boardwalk tonight, walking from the Hollywood Studios bus loop to Epcot International Gateway (to watch Luminous from the bridge). It was also my first ever time at the Boardwalk, and I gotta say the nighttime vibes were pretty cool and nice. It was decently crowded with people doing all sorts; eating, sitting, chatting, strolling, etc. The entertainment acts were also pretty nice and gathered a really large group of guests. Reminded me a lot of the beach boardwalks at Atlantic City and elsewhere. Also took some pictures of some of the new stuff. The new Corndog stand, which had a decent line on both sides. Smelled pretty nice and was busy. And the infamous Cake Bake Shop. Overall, fantastic area at WDW that I've never experienced or seen yet. Recommended for anyone to stop by or stroll thru. That walkway from HS to Epcot is golden, especially at night if you don't want to take the Skyliner.

Well….. My prediction is, it will be open for significantly less time than it took to build it.

And it comes in a box!!!! And you have to eat it outside fighting the seagulls!!! And for dessert, you get to look at an unfinished bakery!!!!

Also no cooked to order items like steak, seafood, etc. - it’s all very simple items.

Pizzas and salads too, seems sufficient for a lunch offering

That is a very limited menu, what 3 entree offerings?

Such a bizarre menu selection. Three entrees. It's pasta... how hard could it be to offer a bit more "variety." When Tony's Town Square has the superior menu, you are doing something wrong with your italian restaurant.
