Changes to lunch offerings at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort coming soon
My DH absolutely loves this restaurant. He loves the theming and the food. It is usually quiet and in a great resort. DH recommends French Onion Soup and a Steak! I say Onion Rings with their GREAT dipping sauce and Steak :) DH won't let us go to WDW unless he knows we have a reservation here! It really is good and a nice get away from the crowds and noise!
We ended up here by accident the first time because we couldn't find an open reservation anywhere else. We loved it and ended up going back a second time in the same trip! We now always make a point to eat here each vacation. The prime rib is second to none! The atmosphere is very nice, and it is usually a quiet place to dine. This is a hidden gem that I would highly recommend, and it is usually not too difficult to get a table.
I visited the Turf Club for the first time a few days ago and came away impressed with the experience. Being set on the golf course at Saratoga Springs, the Turf Club was much quieter than many other Disney restaurants. Less people, and less kids. The restaurant itself is quite small, offering both indoor and outdoor covered seating in about equal proportions. The decor is fairly dark, with wood panelling aplenty. I had the Buffalo Chicken dip to start with, the prime rib as the entree, and a Peach Crisp for dessert. All were good, with the exception of the prime rib being excellent. You do not see prime rib on many many at Walt Disney World, so it was a welcome menu item. Cooked perfectly medium rare, and served with broccolini and garlic mashed potato. I thoroughly enjoyed the dish, Pricing was about in-line with what you would expect from a Disney table service restaurant. Costing less than a signature restaurant, I felt it offered better value than many of those. The good food and quieter ambiance means I would recommend this to anyone looking for something a bit of the beaten track.
Ate here 1/17/2011! Had an absolutley wonderful time! Service was great and the food was even better! Would highly suggest it to any couple looking to get away from the hustle of your typical dinning experience in Disney! It was a quiet night, with not to many other tables around us, our waitress was beyond attentive and the Calamari was some of the best have had in a long time from any restaurant. The fog rolled in over the water giving us a wonderful romantic feel of just us next to the patio. Once the fog cleared we had an even greater view of DTD.
