The menu constantly rotates so it's almost impossible to comment on specific menu items. Just know the food is amazing as is the service! The waitstaff is there for your every need, My wife was offered a shall by the hostess in cases she was cold. Your menu is tailored to what you like, A week before our trip, V&A called to confirm our reservation and ask if there were any food preferences or restrictions, my then pregnant wife's meal was tailored to her needs. I'm not a fish person, but I took a risk and wasn't disappointed. The down side to V&A is that the room is stuffy, despite being on being on Seven Sea Lagoon there are no windows and the lighting is dim. Ambient music is not provided by a cd but by a live harpest who adds to the ambiance. Price makes this meal a one in a lifetime event two of us spent $400 with tip. Overall if I had one meal to eat before I died I would make it at Victoria and Alberts.

It's been about 5 years since I've dined at Victoria and Albert's, but I can still visualize the setting and recall the impecable service and the superb flavors of the food and the wines.

To start, the atmosphere feels very "velvet-rope", like you are about to dine with the Queen. In fact, the cozy, dimly-lit room surrounded with marble columns and fresh roses makes you feel like you are the King or Queen who has been invited for a palacial celebration. There are no sounds of a noisy dive kitchen, but rather a tranquil harpist weaving the soundtrack for this culinary experience. You are seated at your table - complete with white linens and hand-carved wooden dining chairs with fine English upholstry - by your waitstaff who seem more like butlers, prepared to wait on you hand and foot. In fact (and this may be TMI :P) at one point during the meal, I got up to go to the restroom and when I returned, the napkin that I had left on the table was gone and was instead replaced over an arm of a butler after I'd sat back down. So over-the-top, but a really fine touch!

Next starts the food service. First off, when you make your reservation for Victoria and Albert's they ask for the names of those you will be dining with and if you are celebrating any special ocation. These names and the occasion appear printed on your personalized menu with the date, which you get to take with you as a tangible momento at the end of the evening. Next, the head chef himself comes out to welcome you and to go over the courses he is offering for the evening. He proceeds to answer any questions, and to ask if there are any dietary restrictions that he can accommodate. The menu is a six-course prix-fixe affair, but for each course you have options, so you can choose between two or three soups, two or three salads, two or three entrees, etc. You also have the choice to add the wine pairing option to the meal, and they bring out a new glass of wine for each option you choose per course. I used to have a "wine is wine" mentality, but after having everything paired for me during the meal I can now say, I get it! Amazing.

The menu is ever-changing, but you can rest assured that it will be fantastic. Even things you've had prepared a thousand ways before (steak for example) become a whole new experience here. Food is just transformed and is so succulent and flavorful that it really can be quite emotional, or at the very least memorable.

So now the particulars. This restaurant really is not for kids. The guidelines ask that children be 10 and over if you really must bring them, but I can tell you that the experience will just be lost on them. And while it is a bit pricey, I promise that you will walk out of there having felt that it was worth every penny. The food, the atmosphere, and the memories you will leave with are truly special. Enjoy!!

The Grand Floridian in itself is to me the best place to stay in the park. Victoria and Alberts has always been a great place to dine. The atmosphere is romantic with a view of the copper encrusted kitchen and the food is fantastic. Ive had the Veal Shank here and their steaks. In short, if you are looking for an excellent experience all around, its great.

What a night to remember. The food was absolutely incredible!!! Everything from the service to the atmosphere & food is a 10+! My husband & I ate there in Dec. 08 and look forward to dining there again when we return as a couple.

Victoria & Albert's, located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, has a AAA 5-Diamond Award and is the most exclusive of all Walt Disney World's restaurants. Guests must be aged 10 and above.
