Disney has shared new information for the upcoming Disney Jollywood Nights, debuting November 11, 2023, at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

"Disney Holidays in Hollywood," is a star-studded variety show in the grand tradition of Tinseltown holiday specials – all with a twist of today's Hollywood magic.

With special guest stars including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Tiana, Belle, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, there are plenty of surprises in store, including a brand-new original song by Tiana. Singers, dancers and live jazz musicians round out the talented cast of entertainers in this show at Theater of the Stars.

"What's This? Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along" in The Hyperion Theater sees Jack Skellington take us on an ethereal exploration of "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas." Sing along to beloved songs from the iconic film and discover peculiar magic in unexpected places. Along the way, you'll conquer Oogie Boogie and be encouraged to follow your curiosity.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends are wearing new outfits exclusively for this glitzy celebration – and they invite you to do the same. The new outfits are inspired by the party's vintage vibe, which celebrates the glitz and glam of Hollywood. At the Animation Courtyard, the gang has just wrapped on the set of their new holiday film, and you're invited to catch a glimpse of the magic with Mickey & Friends Holiday Greetings.

Elsewhere a DJ will play the merriest of mash-ups, featuring a mix of smooth classics layered with modern beats. While tunes at the entrance set the tone for the evening, stroll around Echo Lake for a trip down a more recent memory lane featuring holiday music and characters from classic Disney Channel favorites, including Powerline Max, Rescue Rangers Chip' n' Dale and Phineas and Ferb.

At Welcome to Disney Jollywood Nights, strike your best pose for "The Gram" in front of a stunning new neon sign before joining the dance party. Disney PhotoPass photographers will be there to capture the moment, and complimentary digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos captured during the event are included with the price of your ticket.

A Robotic Arm Magic Shot will capture your red carpet moment with a glamorous, show-stopping video. There's also a Camera Array Magic shot – seven cameras that will shoot a boomerang-style photo of your group in front of a Disney Jollywood Nights backdrop.

Finally, Disney has shared details on the Virtual Queue for Star Wars Rise of the Resistance.

Guests attending the event can request to join the queue beginning at 6:00 p.m. Each guest can request to enter this virtual queue no more than once per event. This is only available for guests on the day of the event they are attending, and their specific event tickets must be linked to their My Disney Experience account in order to join the virtual queue. Guests attending this special ticketed event do not need to be in Disney's Hollywood Studios to request to join at the time the queue becomes available.

Nah, this is one area where Disney customer service excels. I’ve never heard of anyone being SOL when they can’t make a party. The worst they will do is a credit, and depending on the circumstances, refunds are not unheard of.

They will almost certainly give you a credit towards future purchase.

If you don’t use the tickets you’ll have a credit in your account that can be used for any future special event tickets. This is standard.

I know of people in your situation who've gotten a refund or credit. In my experience with dealing with Guest Relations, asking nicely can go a long way. Good luck!

Plead your case. But you're likely SOL. Most situations do not permit a refund, credit or transfer. Sorry.

I bought tickets for Dec 21, but I don't think I will be able to make it to florida. Am I able to get a credit, or is it a total loss?

Money. They want money. It’s really not complex. They had more than that available during regular hours, but you’re correct there was much more available at parties. Unfortunately for those not wishing to attend, special food items is a big selling point for many to come to the parties, especially to those who’ve attended in the past. With that said, every resort and park had holiday food offerings available that didn’t require you to go to a party. Could they do more? Sure, but it’s not like they do nothing. The real tragedy last year was the Jollywood shows not becoming normal park experiences after the final parties were done, like the Christmas parade does.

I know Epcot has FotH, which I do enjoy. But MK I recall only had like 1 or 2 holiday treat options this past year and studios was similar. Just shame that we have to buy a party ticket to be able to choose from and purchase a normal selection of holiday treats that should be for sale durning the day.

So, what's from them changing this to just a non ticketed event..It's ridiculous.

bmr1591Jun 07, 2024

Yes. Each park had themed snacks for Christmas and EPCOT has a whole festival.

Dr.GrantSeekerJun 06, 2024

Agree. Do any of the parks even have holiday treats or snacks to purchase during normal operating hours? I cant recall many options the last few years though I could be mistaken. Half the reason we won't go during the holidays anymore since its all behind a paywall.

Even if they didn't want to put up the temporary screens, the Fantasmic! billboard screen is there all year round, just covered by a tarp. Very weird they didn't even utilize it one bit after investing into upgrading it a couple years ago..

wdwmagicJun 06, 2024

It was easy to forget it was there. No video screens in 2023, and most people seemed to just be largely ignoring it.

After the first night, guest ratings improved to the point where it was deemed worth giving it another go in 2024 - with some changes.
