Disney's Animal Kingdom Experience Guide April 2025
Posted: Thursday April 10, 2025 10:55am ET by WDWMAGIC Staff

A physical “Times Guide” has recently returned to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, marking the first reappearance of printed daily entertainment listings at any Walt Disney World theme park since they were discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now branded as the “Experience Guide,” this new version includes updated showtimes, character greeting windows, and atmosphere entertainment schedules. Guests can find information on offerings like the Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!, and newer entertainment such as Beats and Strings and Eco-Rhythmics. The guide also lists animal trails, Rafiki’s Planet Watch hours, and Wilderness Explorers locations.

  • This printed guide is currently exclusive to Animal Kingdom. No similar handout is currently offered at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, or Hollywood Studios.
  • The layout includes sections for atmosphere entertainment, shows, character greetings, and animal experiences.
  • Schedules are current as of April 2025 and reflect weekday variations for some performers.

The return of a physical schedule is a shift from the park’s recent reliance on the My Disney Experience app. Some guests have continued to request printed options, especially for group planning or for those who prefer not to use mobile devices throughout the day.

It remains to be seen whether the “Experience Guide” format will expand to other parks or remain unique to Animal Kingdom. For now, it offers a low-tech but useful option for staying on top of entertainment during your visit.

Do we know if this is expected to roll out throughout the other parks? I could be very wrong, but when I saw these I thought this was a clear way for Disney to show people what offerings DAK has that isn't just a ride. Once Dinosaur is down, and Kali goes down refurb... you're down to a handful of rides. This is an easy way to showcase lesser known experiences to the masses.

Let me take a moment to say THANK YOU WDW MGMT for this. Sometimes the old fashioned way is just well - easier. Nice to see these back. Small, welcomed change

These things would be gold on a MK Party Night.

Yep! They've been there since November or December for the holiday season, and then updated in the new year

This is a great idea to remind people that its more than a half-day park. There's plenty of stuff to do if you just know where to look!

Some Sites did have them before COVID. No Official Sites though.

Hopefully DHS and MK will have them with the new Entertainment!....

These are great to help guide guests to less attended areas. Always thought they should do a summer time “beat the heat” version too

If there was a button on the home page of the app that took me to a digital image of the paper version of the times guide I would be happy. Sometimes the app is too much clicking around to get basic info.

The app version is tough to read at a glance and requires filtering. I'd be OK if they got rid of paper maps and just had times guides.
