I should have posted this sooner, but the stage design for the Disney on Broadway concerts has gotten a nice facelift and is far more elaborate than it's been in the past, with multiple video monitors, the lit stairs, etc.

It's a shame they never used the audio from Splashtacular it would have been a great use since it's the characters singing about the colors in the show....And a great nod to a defunct show seeing it in the original spot with the lights would be impressive.

I made a quick trip to Disney just for the Arts Festival. Saw the last night of Gavin & Heidi and the first night of Ashley and L. Steven. Went to all 3 concerts each night and WOW - better than ever. Ashley Brown is performing Feed the Birds this year! Also got to watch Trevor Carlton paint Minnie, Donald, and Winnie the Pooh. Looked at lots of incredible art and really had a lovely time.

Well, there's plenty more where they came from. Meanwhile, they can change businesses... it's lovely hot chestnut weather!

Some more photos from the Festival today… Had to take a shot of Joel’s nice painting. I met him waiting in the single rider line for Disneyland’s ‘Splash Mountain’ some years ago. We started talking about Tony of all people….and then artwork. Quite a guy. Mission: Space chalk art starting to wash away in the rain …. A work in progress, sadly this also was washed completely away in the rain today. Looked great in person…the colors were so bright and eye catching!
