Walt Disney World has introduced a new guide tailored specifically for families with young children visiting EPCOT.

The "Fun for Families With Kids" guide is designed to enhance the experience for younger guests by highlighting attractions, interactive experiences, and character meet-and-greets that are appealing to children.

The guide, which is presented by Babybel, features a colorful map that directs families to key areas throughout the park, such as the "Play Zone" and "Space Base at Mission: SPACE."

In addition to these play areas, the guide highlights a variety of family-friendly attractions like "Frozen Ever After," "Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros," and "Remy's Ratatouille Adventure." The guide also includes Kidcot Fun Stops, where children can participate in fun activities and collect unique cards representing each country in the World Showcase.

Character greetings are another major feature of the guide, with locations provided for meeting Disney characters such as Moana, Anna and Elsa, Jasmine, and more.

For families looking to make the most of their visit, the guide includes information about the Disney DuckTales World Showcase Adventure, an interactive scavenger hunt that invites kids to join Scrooge McDuck and his nephews on a quest around the World Showcase. There's also a special EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival exclusive scavenger hunt, "Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak," where kids can search for hidden Remy statues throughout the park.

While EPCOT is often considered a more adult-oriented park within Walt Disney World, this new guide aims to make the park more accessible and enjoyable for families with children.

Yep, I have the Goofy Epcot Guide.. It does seem strange why this is the only park to have said guide and why the other 3 parks don't..

Aren’t the visuals of Pinocchio based on Germany more than Italy despite the origin of the story and character names? I thought that was why they went with Village Haus for the restaurant name.

If they ever really felt this way, I’ve always felt an easy and good thing to do is to add some ride clones to WS (eg Tangled to Germany, Pinocchio to Italy, Alice to UK)

they need this so kids know about the school cafeteria they built for them in comminicore hall

I think this is a cool idea and hope they keep it going for the different events or even for diet Epcot. I know a lot of people that don't even know there is a lot rather large play area in the Mission Space building for example, indicating things like this is a good thing

My little ones love Epcot, second to MK. So much for them to do and not too many RS rides.

I was just kidding but: Yeah, and how much of that ambition still exists? A few decades too late on that one, I'm afraid.

SirwalterraleighAug 30, 2024

1. False 2. It’s the most ambitious park ever built. 3. Dumbed down is not a virtue

…for now
