This weekend marks a high for Lightning Lane Multi Pass pricing at Walt Disney World, with Magic Kingdom leading the trend at $35 on Saturday, October 26.

This surge in pricing reflects increased demand as the parks gear up for a busy weekend. Interestingly, though, Magic Kingdom's price for Lightning Lane Multi will fall back to $27 on Sunday, creating a small window for savings for those planning to visit at the tail end of the weekend.

Meanwhile, EPCOT saw its peak pricing reach $26 today, October 25, as Disney anticipates a busy evening for the ongoing EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom, guests will see a slightly lower rate of $19, just shy of its peak pricing. Similarly, Disney's Hollywood Studios is holding at $27 today, just below the peak.

As for Lightning Lane Single Pass prices, these individual attraction options are nearly at their maximum, hovering just $1 below peak rates.

With peak pricing now in full effect for this weekend, guests looking to take advantage of Lightning Lane options should prepare for these higher rates, or consider alternate days for slightly reduced costs. View 21 Days of Upcoming Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass Prices in Advance.

I don't think the OP was denying that the prices fluctuate based on supply/demand, etc. occur, but rather I think meant that the corresponding price increases do not reflect reality of what the market (or in this case guest) will actually support and be willing to pay before deciding to take their business elsewhere.

I've generally saved big time flying out on Tue / Wed returning Tue / Wed on UA.

Here are a few examples of companies that use dynamic pricing: Uber, hotels, airlines, Amazon, Airbnb, and professional sports teams.

Airlines, specifically United Airlines for example excels at their dynamic pricing and demand prediction system. I’m not sure that describing the pricing moves as arbitrary is as accurate as describing them as out of touch based on guest sentiment and demand.

Unless there is a huge social media public uproar when the Cake Bake Shop opened recently at Boardwalk with a slice of cake at $26 and burger and fries $32. You said We listened and the place lowered their prices a little bit.

I am sitting here trying to think of another company who arbitrarily raises prices based on projected demand -- can't think of any. Sure glad grocery stores don't do this---- can you imagine well in October milk demand will be up we will charge $15 bucks a gallon

The week after next is Jersey week which is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year, followed by Veterans Day 3 day weekend, and then later the beginning of the Thanksgiving holiday week, so I would expect top end prices over the next several weeks to skew the average. I don’t have to time or interest to do it, but perhaps a better comparison would be looking back at the previous 28 days and seeing how current and future pricing compare.

I mean if you want to squabble over "average" vs upper end. Over the next 28 days: 3 days are $27, 4 days are $29, 15 days are $32, and 6 days are $35. Giving an average price of $31.68 Everyone's situation is different. I personally have a toddler where even a 20 min line is probably a no go, so LLMP at $32 is personally worth it (for the 8ish rides I would have to skip otherwise). However, I 100% agree that for many people this service at this price is not worth it. Source on prices

I guess there is no end to the ever increasing prices

It goes to $27 on Sunday and works it way up the rest of the week to $32 next Saturday . So this is the upper end of the pricing spectrum. Value is in the eye of the beholder, but it is hard to justify LL purchases when posted wait times are less than an hour, knowing full well that your actual wait times is likely even less than that.

I think $32 is "average" pricing now for MK. Also lines always pick up after ~11am LLMP rides: 45: Pan (3:10pm) 35: Jungle Cruise (sold out) 30: Space (11:30am), Haunted Mansion (4:20pm) 25: Big Thunder (12:10pm) Whether or not LLMP is for you is certainly debatable, but in theory you could buy LLMP right now and get good times for multiple rides over a 30 min wait (assuming you unlock tiering quickly with teacups or something)

$32 vs $35 at MK $24 vs $26 at Epcot 🤷‍ I guess I just don’t see the general demand for the price whether it’s peak or close to peak pricing.

Well put. This exactly. And I am sure the sectors who are losing money to LL and cake are not happy.
