Disney has rolled out a newly updated in-park paper map today for Magic Kingdom, with several major changes following the July 6 closures of Tom Sawyer Island, the Liberty Square Riverboat, and the Frontierland Railroad Station. The new map aligns with the updated digital version introduced today and also includes mention of new summer entertainment offering - Disney Starlight Parade.

Tom Sawyer Island and Liberty Belle Removed

The map no longer features Tom Sawyer Island, which has been fully removed from guest access to make way for the upcoming Cars-themed land, Piston Peak National Park. The surrounding Rivers of America that once hosted the Liberty Square Riverboat is also gone, with the Liberty Belle attraction no longer marked on the map.

Modified Railroad Route

With the Walt Disney World Railroad currently running in shuttle mode, the new in-park map shows the shortened train route, now operating only between Main Street, U.S.A. Station and Fantasyland Station (Storybook Circus).

Disney Starlight Parade Featured

In addition to attraction removals, the map also promotes Disney’s Starlight Parade, set to debut July 20.

Your facts don’t relate to the point you are trying to make. 1st point. You are attempting to use box office numbers to measure IP popularity. The Good Dinosaur had a higher box office than Encanto and Cars. Nothing more to be said here. 2nd point. You are trying to say Coco is more popular than Cars today………………..by quoting how the movies are rated. There is zero correlation between those two metrics. I can easily post some highly rated movies on Rotten Tomatoes that most people have never seen. Elio is about to be one of the worst flops in not only Pixar but Disney history, but your Rotten Tomatoes metric has it rated higher than Cars. Fact of the matter is merch sales must factor into popularity, you can’t just use ratings and box office. It’s common sense. People don’t ask for merch of things they don’t like. A lot of boys love Cars. Boys are a segment Disney has found tough to crack with their original IP, and Cars has managed to sit comfortably in that lane. It’s not going anywhere.

I’ve read elsewhere that the smokestack is typically removed during transport to get under the monorail beams.

Smokestack has been removed and I think the bell too. Can’t tell what, if anything, else. Also note that the TSI rafts have been moved further up the canal with the LB.

The new channel will be quite clearly too narrow for the riverboat to navigate. It's about its scale relative to the body of water it resides in, even if they could carve out a singular section of it to barely house the Belle. Also, half the beauty of it is in the kinetics.

The scale of what? Auto parts mountain? lol

From the latest bioreconstruct photos it definitely looks like they’re already dismantling the Liberty Belle.

If the riverboat stayed in Frontierland in the new water/river, it would completely throw off the scale. Would love to keep the boat but not in Frontierland.

There may be new water features in that area, but the river itself is being completely filled in and leveled.

Yes, the backdrop at the dock is going to be a mountainous western national park. It wouldn't fit the river boat.

It wouldn't work to just park it at the former Riverboat dock. With how they're redesigning the river, there isn't going to be a credible illusion of where the boat would go. Having sit in a pond doesn't make sense.

Oh trust me… the riverboat leaving is a terrible decision. 100%. I was just saying that based on the construction that will be happening - there will be nowhere for her to go. The entire river will be filled in and leveled - including the area around big thunder.
