Disney has resumed sales of Walt Disney World Annual Passes this morning after an overnight pause.
The current notice on the Annual Pass virtual queue waiting room says:
We thank you and all our fans for the incredible enthusiasm for the Passholder program. Due to the high popularity of our Annual Passes, please know wait times may exceed several hours.
We anticipate a pass or select passes may become unavailable for purchase later today.
Sales were halted on day one at 11pm, with Disney saying in a notice that Pass sales will resume no earlier than 7:15 AM ET on April 21 and that Disney Incredi-Pass, Disney Pixie Pass, Disney Pirate Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass are still available to purchase.
Disney further cautioned that availability on a pass or select passes may become unavailable for purchase at any time after sales reopen.
The virtual queue for Annual Pass sales began online at 6:44am yesterday, and Disney has been using a waiting room to provide a smoother user experience. The site went down for around 45 minutes during day one but has mostly been trouble free despite heavy demand and long wait times upwards of 5 hours.
