These Annual Passholder-exclusive magnets will be available at EPCOT's Creations Shop from May 31 to June 30, 2023 - 9am to 9pm daily.

To enter EPCOT, you will need valid admission and a theme park reservation for EPCOT on the same date (or you may visit EPCOT after 2:00 PM without a theme park reservation, subject to blockout dates).

Each Passholder must be present and show their valid Annual Pass card, linked MagicBand or Disney MagicMobile pass, and a government –issued photo ID to receive a magnet.

There is a limit of one magnet per Passholder. Available while supplies last.

To be serious for a moment, I agree. This feels like something they didn’t expect to need to do and that is still being worked on due to… soft summer bookings? I know Hugh said in the November quarterly meeting they were “looking strong” but he seems like a guy with the backbone of a wet noodle. But the new discounts, the continuing discounts announced earlier in the year, plus this announcement really gives the vibe that they are getting desperate because summer at WDW is looking to be on the slow side. Maybe it ultimately won’t be, but I’m sure we’ll have posters here chime in that “it’s jam packed!!” “Busiest summer I’ve ever experienced”, et al. And then the quarterly numbers will be announced and they’ll talk about flat attendance. 🤷‍♂️

Why the continued rollout announcements without details....

They are aware a new park is opening across the way, right?!

AP cupcake? At a minimal cost, obviously. And you don't necessarily need to be a an AP to purchase it.

To me this smacks of "what can we do to claim a perk that doesn't cost very much". Magnets probably have more of the budget

“We are doing it, but we don’t know what it is yet.” Oh ok.

Pre-COVID they had some free after hours nights at Typhoon Lagoon which was very cool.

Gotta get rid of the Halloween party remains before the next ones begin.

Hope they do better than last years crummy lounge, all it had was cold hot tea that had sat there all day and tiny packaged peanuts.

I've always thought some sort of AP nights events at Epcot would work well. Epcot is very popular with locals, so run the park to 11PM with limited experiences and Dj parties. All the infrastructure is setup, just need op hours. Don't even have to run all of the attractions. Just World Showcase (Remy, Frozen) and GOTG. Could also work at DAK. Add some specialty menu items and you could push additional trips there.

What does the playbook say to do when you can’t draw out of town business?
