Walt Disney World has announced Serena Arvizu and Shannon Smith-Conrad as its new Ambassadors, representing over 75,000 Disney cast members in Florida.
The announcement, made at EPCOT this morning, was attended by Disney Parks Chairman Josh D'Amaro, Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle, the first Disney World Ambassador, Debby Dane Browne, and nearly 30 other alumni. Watch the the video below to see the announcement.
Both Serena and Shannon started their Disney careers as College Program participants. They were selected through a comprehensive process involving over 300 applicants and will play a significant role in community engagement and celebrating milestones. The outgoing Ambassador Team, Ali Manion and Raevon Redding, will assist in the transition, sharing insights and experiences from their term, including the 50th Anniversary celebration.
Serena joined the Disney College Program in 2016 as a hostess at The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World. She joins the Ambassador Team from Disney Supplier Diversity where she has been a Sourcing Specialist since December 2020.
Shannon started her Disney journey in 2012 on the Disney College Program at Disneyland Resort. She joins the Ambassador Team from Professional Recruitment where she has been a Coordinator since November 2021.
