Progress continues at the construction site for Disney Lakeshore Lodge, the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort scheduled to open in 2027 at Walt Disney World.

Photos from this week show that vertical construction has begun, with the first story of the resort now visible. These photos, taken from locations around Pioneer Hall, provide a clear view of the early structural framework along Bay Lake.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists. According to Disney, the resort will offer a unique blend of rustic elegance and imaginative storytelling, providing guests with a serene escape along the shores of Bay Lake, between Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

The original Reflections project was announced in 2018 as a deluxe nature-themed resort featuring over 900 hotel rooms and Disney Vacation Club villas. However, it was quietly shelved amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the area remained largely untouched until recent activity suggested the project might be revived.

honestly could see that - either there or maybe an extension to Animal Kingdom Lodge ... not a full replacement for the campgrounds, but "upgrade" a section of it? sure

But not for resale, you need to show your blue card to do your business

Definitely a lot of land ... this isn't based on anything but I would be shocked to see it all go away - I think they like having it as an option and highlight when people do the golf cart parades, etc Could definitely see part of it going away but probably beyond my lifetime before it is all gone

    Glamping at $500 a night.....

Bob only wants those who are "income qualified" visiting the parks and staying at the resort hotels now. No room for the poors anymore.

Nobody said they want Fort Wilderness to be eliminated. There's a huge difference between what individual people want and what Disney as a company might actually do.

that certainly applies to so many things now doesn't it, sadly.

As I said. It doesn't attract the right demographic.

Hey you never know. They could sell "DVC campsites" and they work on the same point system.

It's not like WDW doesn't have property to expand why ruin a classic

    Mr Ferret 7518 hours ago

    That's an upcharge.

If there’s matching DVC outhouses, then it’s got the green light from me.

Personally I think it's a missed opportunity. A large area of land that doesn't bring in the sort of high earning clientele that Disney world is looking for. A great expansion area for a new park with attached high end hotels.
