The Sunrise Safari tour at Disney's Animal Kingdom will be ending on December 28 2014.

The tour, which is offered to concierge guests staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, takes guests on an adventure through both Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. The 2.5 hour tour costs $75 for adults and $40 for children, which includes a breakfast buffet at Pizzafari in the park.

If you are staying as a concierge level guest at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can book the tour through the converge desk.

At least I won't be tempted to pay for club level again. It was a great thing to do though.

Guess they like poking the DVC grumpy beast. Oh well - they giveth, they taketh away.

Yep - it wasn't a highly advertised perk, but it was listed.

There's still the other backstage thing at Animal Kingdom. This was just for concierge guests at AKL, from what I understand. I probably wouldn't have done it anyway because we generally stay at the Epcot resorts, but it does sound like something that was quite cool.

Didn't they recently added this as a perk that you could book if you're DVC and staying at AKV?

I was planning on to doing this in June 2015. Bummer!

Ah. The construction makes sense. Shame, tho. The Sunrise Safari was prob'ly one of the top 2 Disney experiences we ever had.

    Agreed.

Wonder if this is to give them more time for construction in the Safari area for the new night safari.
