Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a construction permit for an unknown project near to Disney's Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World.

Most significantly, the permit carries an extended expiration date through March 31, 2027, is assigned to one of Disney's major construction partners, Balfour Beatty, and has been filed by Walt Disney Imagineering.

The permit identifies multiple locations along Wilderness Way, which do not match any existing known property address at Walt Disney World. The only known mention of this address is in relation to the abandoned Reflections Disney Vacation Club project, where Wilderness Way served as the approach road.

The permit's description is "Site and facility improvements," and there are 19 addresses ranging from 570 W. Wilderness Way to 728 W. Wilderness Way and 910 Timberline Dr.

Interestingly, Wilderness Way is located very close to the existing 14 Copper Creek Cabins at Wilderness Lodge, which raises the possibility of Disney planning to build more Disney Vacation Club units in this area.

Adding further intrigue to today's WDI permit is yesterday's activity, which saw Disney file a permit for Wilderness Lodge with another major vendor, Adena.

Disney has yet to announce a refurbishment, expansion or any update to the Wilderness Lodge Resort.

Sadly, the cost of solar equipment is ridiculously high...making things like Home Solar not a great deal....

Free energy would cut Disney costs and reduce prices------------nay

Can you imagine the Animal Kingdom. EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Main lot all being covered by solar panels? All parking could be covered and shaded and they would generate a ton of energy...

They do that at Disneyland Paris

nickysAug 05, 2024

Legoland Florida had done that when we visited at the end of 2022.

If Disney wants to be eco friendly this what they should be doing --just think how much cooler your car would be

The monorail is already stretched to beyond its capacity with the surplus of rooms around the beam. And they keep adding more. Yikes.

I believe the charm of the WL is it feels a bit removed from Disney World. A monorail would ruin that.

You must be new to Disney. The literal entire concept of Disney is suspending belief.

It makes as much sense as a monorail running through a Polynesian village or turn of the century beach resort
