Disney yesterday posted a job position for the Hotel Services director at the upcoming Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser.

Despite the COVID-19 closures and delays, Walt Disney World's Star Wars themed 2 night experience remains on track to open, although a precise opening date is not yet available. Onboarding a Hotel Services director appears to suggest that the construction phase is moving towards to an operational phase.

Here is an overview of the position. You can find out more at the Disney Careers website.

Disney is searching for a seasoned hotelier with senior leadership hospitality experience on land or at sea to serve as Hotel Services Director for our new Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. As a Hotel Services Director you will lead and implement a unique immersive two-night experience aligned with our Star Wars franchise. A passion for bringing ideas to life, creativity, value a non-traditional work environment, and balance traditional hotel experience with immersive entertainment are all important traits you will need to have to be successful in this role. If selected, you will report to the Regional General Manager – Hotel Operations.

Disney describes the new hotel as a "first-of-its-kind vacation experience where guests will check in for a two-night adventure aboard a glamorous starship. Once onboard, guests will interact with characters and become active participants in stories that unfold around them on their galactic journey. "

The image above shows a model of the ship called the Halcyon from the Chandrila Star Line, which is where you adventure will take place.

I enjoyed the film. The villan was weak but that's the case for most Marvel films. Also not sure why you are posting about this in a Starcruiser thread?

I think you can work things out on your own. Here's an example The Marvels An inexperienced handpicked director + an unlikable lead + a failed marvel tv character + a shoehorned uninteresting marvel tv character + an unknown meh villain = A Box Office Bomb

Do explain.

There is so much truth to this, and far too many options to take the place that are close enough in quality or surpassing.

101% We have been arguing about this for 5-10 years around here…and If you said “I don’t know…this might not be the way to go…” …you were jumped on as archaic, immature, and a bigot in most cases. It was just reading the tea leaves. The world is flawed…and you can’t force people to evolve on a timeframe. They have tried…and they are losing untold billions from it. Not a good strategy at all

I think Disney has been using the worst strategy ever. There is no point in attacking fans and name calling, just because they don't like your bad product. It won't make them want to watch your future bad stuff anymore. They'll just say screw them I'll just watch "The Penguin".

As with society as a whole… …they started sending messages to the big fans that they weren’t good enough anymore. It’s a brutal lesson being learned by people around the globe right now

Disney has had a lot of missteps the past few years. They should probably go back to hiring the best person for the job, rather than whoever checks off the most boxes. How many bad Marvel and Star Wars movies and tv shows are we going to get. Heck Willow was so bad they erased it from existence. I can't believe what they've done with Marvel, how did they manage to derail that gravy train.

I am also an introvert, but I have learned to feel alone even among people. It helps me to worry less.

I'm an introvert and hate using smart devices. Watching Jenny's video only confirms this hotel would be my personal nightmare. But makes me mourn for Pleasure Island and their actors. And the actors in the parks.

It does prove the vast majority who went on it did not love it as so many claim.

I'm glad you finally stopped claiming the video "proved" anything about how anyone other than Jenny felt about the Starcruiser. "Addressed" seems like a much better word. The way you posted this earlier: "Her video proved the vast majority who experienced it did not love it and she breaks down why and that exact argument you made lol" Made it sound like you didn't watch the video, didn't understand it, or didn't know how to communicate your thoughts clearly. I've made it clear that I liked the video and I don't disagree with anything in it. Jenny shares her experience and her opinions and what she sees as larger issues. People are free to agree with her or disagree with her, and some people in this thread had very different experiences on the Starcruiser and felt otherwise. I'm tired of reading nonsense by people who have strong, yet completely uninformed, reactionary opinions.

I Have seen it 4 times. 5 by this weekend. I fully understand it and LOVE IT. And it fets better and mpre scathing everytime I watch it. All of your questions she addresses in the video.
