Downtown Disney's Blink by Wet Seal last day of operation

Blink by Wet Seal is closing at the end of operations today at Downtown Disney West Side.

Blink, which offers low priced apparel, opened in November 2011 will be replaced by a temporary store offering World Cup Soccer merchandise.

    Or maybe it just carried the same merchandise as the store in the Florida Mall, just a far less selection to choose from.

    I believe it was always intended to be a popup store on a short lease.

    Maybe Blink isn't that stable. Or at least maybe this particular store wasn't. If we're talking low-priced merchandise in an area where the rent is probably astronomical, there just might not have been enough of a profit margin for the store to stay in business. Considering how many international visitors come to WDW, a temp tore selling World Cup merch will probably do quite well while it's there.

    This doesn't seem like a good sign of things to come if they aren't able to get stable companies in these shops. So now we'll have a temporary store selling World Cup merchandise? Sigh.
