Volcom at Disney Springs officially closed this past weekend, marking the end of its clearance sale and final days of operation. The closure follows the bankruptcy filing of its parent company, Liberated Brands, which is in the process of shutting down all of its U.S. retail locations.

As of today, all Volcom signage has been removed from the building, and the windows have been blacked out. The space now sits empty with no announcements yet regarding a replacement tenant.

Volcom specialized in surf, skate, and snowboarding apparel, offering casual clothing, footwear, and accessories.

So funny that when Quiet Flight was closing down at Citywalk in Universal, there was an employee there who just started working there not long ago. She said she was going to be transfered working at Volcom. At least she was going to another similar store within at another theme park shopping district. Interesting where they could be going now or maybe a position at Ron John could do the trick...,

So what's going to replace it I wonder?

They use to have a Store adjacent to Goofy's Candy company called Mickey's Mart that pretty much did discounted merch. The best thing they had were the Mystery bags of older souvenirs.. https://allears.net/walt-disney-world/wdw-planning/mickeys-mart-everything-10-and-under-downtown-disney-marketplace-archives/

Just a few months ago Universal Citywalk shut down it's decade old QuietSurf shop and I was let aware current employees there would be moved and transferred to this store at Disney Spring's. Now that now it's closing where will they now go...if they're there still. 😉

The one at Vineland is really close by but yeah off property! If that were the case it would convince tourists at WDW not to buy the current merch at full price! I would also add when it comes to character warehouses there's barely anything for the kids.

This is true though it's hardly since returning to the parks that then I see hardly Disney Spring's even on weekdays whining down unless it's early in the mornings upon opening until say past 11am.

But also, what are they going to do? Kick them out? Any financial penalty just gets added to the stack of debts.

At this point it would be nice to see just a Disney Character outlet on property or some place where you can get discounted Disneypark out of season overstock....And not have to venture to the outlet mall off of Lakeland..

Yikes not sure how that’s happening. I am fairly sure going out of business signage is against the terms of the lease.

Gotcha! I do think we have to recognize one of those options is free for everyone in Orlando to attend if they want to drop by for dinner after work.

The parks have literally always been paywalled
