Disney World's monorail system is back in service today following an incident yesterday where a truck hit the beam.
The accident occurred on Friday afternoon just outside of Disney's Contemporary Resort. The Badger soil excavation truck had some of its vacuuming equipment extended and hit the underside of the monorail beam. Some minor damage resulted from the impact, which closed the monorail for around 4 hours as crews worked to restore the service.
No injuries were reported, and no damage was sustained to any of the monorails.
