Disney's Blizzard Beach water park will be closed a day longer than expected, as near freezing temperatures persist in Central Florida.

Originally planned to reopen on January 9, Blizzard Beach will is now expected to reopen on January 10, 2025.

With lows dipping into the 430s and highs only reaching the low 50s, the conditions are unfavorable for water park operations.

Typhoon Lagoon, Disney's other water park, is currently closed for its annual refurbishment, leaving Walt Disney World without an available water park.

Great, I was planning on using the free perk on Thursday, hopefully since it’s supposed somewhat chilly it won’t be too busy?

This is why we need both parks open.

Blizzard Beach has reached a phased closure and is only accepting WDW resort guests at this time. The parking lot is also at capacity and guests are being redirected to park at DAK.

It's Blizzard beach --it's supposed to be cold --this is discrimination against the polar bear club(sarcasm)
