Disney World's Blizzard Beach Closure Extended Due to Cold Weather

Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will remain closed through Saturday, November 23, 2024, as cold weather continues to linger in Central Florida. The extended closure follows the park’s initial shutdown on November 21 and 22 due to low temperatures.

The forecast shows lows in the 40s and highs in the low 70s, which fall below the comfort range for water park operations. With Typhoon Lagoon already closed for its annual refurbishment, this means Walt Disney World’s water parks will remain unavailable through the weekend.

Blizzard Beach is expected to reopen on Sunday, November 24, pending improved weather conditions.

Great, I was planning on using the free perk on Thursday, hopefully since it’s supposed somewhat chilly it won’t be too busy?

This is why we need both parks open.

Blizzard Beach has reached a phased closure and is only accepting WDW resort guests at this time. The parking lot is also at capacity and guests are being redirected to park at DAK.

Great perk for check in days! Haha. That perk is a joke.

It's Blizzard beach --it's supposed to be cold --this is discrimination against the polar bear club(sarcasm)
