Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new construction permit for EPCOT's Canada Pavilion in Walt Disney World.

The construction permit carries the usual vague description of "Install Set Elements" and is assigned to Icarus Exhibits. The long-time Disney vendor specializes in custom theming for immersive environments and has recently worked on TRON Lightcycle Run, Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, and Toy Story Land.

Despite the Canada Pavilion wrapping up a major exterior refurbishment project, construction walls have again appeared at the pavilion.

The area being worked on is at the Hotel du Canada, in an area of the building that has been off-limits to guests for years.

While we don't know what is coming, with Walt Disney Imagineering involved, it is likely to be a guest-facing space, with the possibility of a new exhibit or bar/lounge space. Disney has yet to make any announcement on the project.

Maybe the 2nd floor is being redone to accommodate whatever the new thing below will be? (additional storage, electrical, etc)

Some shots from today. Something is happening on the second floor inside, it used to be a break room but all the faux windows are being removed and you can see inside to the actual building. The only way to the second floor is a service stairwell so not sure this would be turned into a guest space or not. Also wondering if the stone houses are included in this project as they were originally designed to be accessible to the public

Little bit of progress, unsure if this just going to be a wall to expand the interior slightly or perhaps a walk up window of some sort? Curious this is being done after they just finished refurbishing the exterior last year.

Not much work on the exterior the last few weeks

Crazy Canuck bar CONFIRMED

All I got told is that it's just shaping up to be "a lounge". I don't expect anything crazy for this space.

Any other word on this, it seems pretty far along to have no mention of what it is anywhere

This is a new bar in the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto, I’d be happy with something like this…

You know, I asked this question and the priest was all like "Oh, we haven't done that since The Reformation" or whatever, and then said something about Martin Luther. And I was like "The guy from the U2 song?" and then he kicked me out of the confessional. But I was reminded what it's like to hear a priest swear in Latin. So that was nice.

@lentesta were you making this post from another bar somewhere on property? There's gotta be a way we can "purchase" some virtue for you...

Guess they are going to remove all the waterfalls out of this country with their new found hatred of water in the MK...

@castlecake2.0 I don't know about you, but I thought that exchange was hilarious. Thank you.
