Demolition work on Catastrophe Canyon is nearly complete, with just the wreckage of the rear steel structure remaining.

Crews have taken just over a week to remove the attraction, which is part of ground clearing at the rear of the park for the future expansion.

Closing in the same area of the park on April 2 will be Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure playground, Monsters Inc. character meet and greet, Writer's Stop, Watto's Grotto, Studio Catering Co. The Earfell tower will also be removed.

The closures are all part of the plans to redevelop the park, beginning with the 14-acre Star Wars and 11-acre Toy Story Lands.

Catastrophe Canyon closed with the Studio Backlot Tour back in September 2014.

Same reason that the chicken crossed the road... because it's there. Not everyone is as retentive as others, some take the road less traveled.

Is there a reason this thread needed to be bumped back up when the removal of the LMA roof has already been discussed in 3 other more-relevant threads?

As of this week the roof for Lights Motors Action has begun.

Makes sense. Why would you want your CMs to walk far to take a break? This saves time and money. Hashtag sarcasm.

Not a lot of positives from Disney Management©, the same management that keep on cutting and keep on nickel and diming their affinity group. Quelle Surprise.

No. TSL shouldn't intrude much further than the end of Stage One. Expect Stage Lane to be the boundary.
