Camp Minnie-Mickey closes on January 5 2014 to begin work on the redevelopment into AVATAR Land.
All of the existing experiences in Camp Minnie-Mickey have moved or will be moving to other areas of the park. Here is a run-down of the new character locations:
Already Moved
- Mickey and Minnie are now in the Adventurers Outpost on Discovery Island
From January 6 2014
- King Louie and Baloo will be meeting along Bradley Falls between Asia and Africa
- Chip and Dale will move to Rafiki's Planet Watch on the walkway from the train station to Conservation station
- Gi-Tar Dan will join Chip and Dale at Planet Watch
- Pocahontas moves to the Discovery Island trails
- Donald Duck will move to the Cretaceous Trail in Dinoland USA
From Summer 2014
- Festival of the Lion King opens in a new theater in Africa in the Summer of 2014, and will close in Camp Minnie-Mickey on January 5 2014
