Disney has filed the first construction permit for LEVEL99, confirming that work is set to begin soon at the former NBA Experience building at Disney Springs West Side.
The permit, submitted to Orange County, carries the description “General Construction/Demo” and has been assigned to Adena Corporation, a longtime contractor on Walt Disney World projects.
This follows the official February 2025 announcement that LEVEL99 would open its first Florida location and largest venue to date at Disney Springs.
LEVEL99 will take over the high-profile, 45,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by the NBA Experience, which has sat vacant since 2021. The interactive attraction will include:
- 60+ physical and mental challenge rooms
- Arena duels for head-to-head competition
- A two-story bar serving craft cocktails and local beers
- A chef-driven kitchen, including Level99’s signature Detroit-style pizza
The venue is designed to host up to 1,000 players at a time, combining team-based gameplay, immersive environments, and social dining.
While LEVEL99 has not yet announced an opening date for the Disney Springs location, the permit filing is the first visible step in converting the former NBA Experience into the new attraction. More updates are expected as construction progresses.
