A new permit has been filed for the Parade Storage Building in Magic Kingdom, potentially signaling preparations for the highly anticipated nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, set to debut in Summer 2025.

While there is no confirmed connection between the permit and the new parade, the timing suggests this could be part of the logistical groundwork necessary to support such a large-scale entertainment addition.

The Parade Storage Building, located backstage behind Tiana's Bayou Aventure, serves as the home base for Magic Kingdom’s parade floats, housing them when not in use and providing a workspace for repairs and maintenance. The addition of a parade as technologically advanced as Disney Starlight will likely require infrastructure updates, such as expanded storage capacity and upgraded power systems.

Stay tuned for additional details as we get closer to the summer debut of Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.

They won’t post parade times until after the announcement. It’ll just be, “Happily Ever After is moving to 10 pm and we have no idea why. GAWRSH!”

In the grand scheme of things, relatively few out-of-towners have booked a trip because of a parade or a refurbed Test Track. Even fewer are waiting for dates to be announced to book a trip because of a parade or a refurbed Test Track. I have a friend who has a trip booked for early-to-mid June. Annual visitors and have been for 15+ years. Nowhere in their trip planning did a parade or Test Track enter into the equation.

Just guessing here..... WDW's Site(not MDE) Calendar goes up to July 4th. Which means we'll get July 6th, along with HEA at 10pm on Wednesday. Might TDO tell us the Date then?

I would wait for Starlight! If Starlight really is the Face of Summer 2025, no wonder people are holding off to Book Trips!

If there is one planned..... I'm guessing we won't see it till the 27th, so after EU/Memorial Weekend.........

I think part of the problem is that Disney hasn’t announced when Starlight and Test Track are coming. People might book trips for these things if they could grantee they’d be open. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If some of our TA friends and others with similar information around here are to be believed, summer bookings are very soft and cancellations are happening in droves. In essence - a refurbed Test Track, a parade, and the "Cool Kids Summer" aren't moving the needle one bit. I would be rather shocked to have so many disparate and normally reliable sources relating the same yet incorrect information.

I'm not saying you're wrong - in fact, you're probably right- but Disney's obsession with meticulously timing every single little blog post and announcement to coincide with some other competitor's announcement is exactly what makes people feel they're lagging behind in multiple ways. Everything feels reactionary, everything feels like "look over here now!" Then, in 6 months, when we hear about lackluster attendance this summer, which is almost a given at this point, all the higher-ups will go "wow, how could this have happened, where did this come from?" Well... maybe if we didn't wait until a month beforehand to announce opening dates for major summer offerings, people would have a chance to book vacations within a meaningful timeframe! Yeah, people won't book a vacation based off a single parade, but combining all the drips of news of new shows, the parade, entertainment, and kids' activities, maybe people would book vacations. Seems like they're just relying on locals now to visit for this parade and hope things work out, which in reality, vacationers do the heavy lifting in terms of attendance numbers, not locals.

Ah yes. Universal opens a tiny theme park but no one notices because WDW has 3 new droids they should have had in 2019. Watch out for the wave, Universal! (I do think you’re correct and they’ll wait a bit. They usually have a media event in late May, anyway).

As much as I hate it when Disney announces stuff early on and would prefer if they keep things a surprise for the most part, this is the main reason why it won't happen. Universal has this advantage while Disney doesn't.

I am in the same boat, got a trip planned for closing of muppets and basically holding for those dates and MNSSHP dates.

I wonder how much this and test track are affecting summer bookings? I have a few friends & family who are holding off on booking summer tickets till they announce the test track & starlight dates.

Just personal speculation since Universal is planning a massive grand opening celebration for Epic Universe. I expect Disney wants their golden news to make a wave in the community after Universal has their moment.
