Work will get started this week at Epcot's security and tram areas, part of the park arrival experience upgrades that are taking place property-wide at Walt Disney World.
The tram load/unload will be moved to a temporary area as work gets underway, which will result in an increased walking distance on arrival. There will also be two tram areas, one for the East lots, and one for the west lots.
Temporary changes to security screening will also be made, with guests arriving via cars going to one area, and guests arriving via monorail or bus being handled by another.
Work is already well underway with arrival upgrades at the Studios, TTC, and soon Disney's Animal Kingdom. The work at Epcot comes alongside major changes to the park's entrance area and central spine. Construction on that is expected to imminantely.
