New visual effect debuts in Muppet*Vision 3D at Walt Disney World

Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World has a brand new in-theater projection effect.

The Waldo bursting scene now includes projection-mapped images extending beyond the screen and along both sides of the theater.

WDWMAGIC Forum user sonoma15 has a video of the new Muppet*Vision 3D projection effect in action.

Muppet*Vision 3D has been enjoying some renewed maintenance efforts recently, with new carpeting and seating installed and the return of the fog blast at the edge of the screen that was missing for years.

    All the enhancements were put in place for the upcoming Olivia Rodriguez Experience show.

    That sounds like a dream come true, If I could rubberstamp any project to start work today It would be this over the Animation Courtyard. The only way you could make this better is by moving Star Tours to Galaxy's Edge and finally putting in the Great Muppet Movie Ride as a full-blown E-ticket dark ride.

    If Muppets ends up getting in top top shape and then if Tower of Terror and Rise can get all their timing and effects in order, I will go back to DHS someday.
