It was perfect as it was. As you walked into the pavillion you were overwhelmed by a carefully selected color scheme of murals that depicted the ride. You would look around and feel you were someplace magical! The sky blue cars would gently roll along the loading platform which was in true imaginative fashion not just a straight line! When you finally made it down that long twisty crowded line you would sit down and head into darkness. As if you closed your eyes and began to day dream. Your head in the clouds as little puffs of cloud would appear before you, the sparks of light resembling stars hearing joyful sounds of a distant voice singing "dee dill lup doo dee". suddenly a fanciful zeppelin airship came and collected the sparks one by one. Then you drift to seeing the top of the blimp peeking out over the clouds before appearing full sized infront of you moving along as the Dreamfinder introduced you to his friend and creation, Figment. This was an impressive feet even if done now, as I have never seen it accomplished again. It moved alongside your car for a very long time. For years I wondered how it was done, Never even thinking there were many different versions of the scene going around a turntable all the time. After he introduced you to his world it was off to explore beautifully enchanting scenes of all different ways imagination can be put to use. A blank canvas room that would slowly get painted at the end, a dark world full of monsters action and fantasy, a stage with costumes and lights, the Dreamfinder conducted a symphony of visuals morphing on a vast plain beside a mountain range. Then Figment in his astronaut suit taking you through the sci fi link to the world of science and technology where our captain controlled images of nature, space, and molecular fields. And finally to wrap it all up, figment's many ideas are shown in a similar setting as he sings happily. Then off the ride and on to the upper floor, in those pyramids, where you literally felt like you were in the sky so bright even on cloudy days, then to the dark mysterious magical imageworks, where tunnels were made from rainbows, paint was shot from cannons, your footsteps made all kinds of wacky sounds, and you conducted playerless instruments that made musical notes flutter about in the air without the aid of some fancy flatscreen tv.
They should of left it alone.
The original Journey into Your Imagination I think was and still is the best ride to ever be experienced in Epcot. I still cant believe they replaced suck a great masterpiece loved by all ages.
omg this ride needs to be replaced or redone again
