The Magic Kingdom today celebrated its 40th Anniversary with a gala procession along Main Street USA and a castle stage ceremony featuring Disney characters, Walt Disney World President Meg Crofton, and Magic Kingdom VP Phil Holmes.

Along with the limited edition merchandise and birthday cup cakes, a special souvenir map was also produced for the day, featuring a look at the Magic Kingdom as it was on opening day.
