It will get more recognition in the spring when the media picks it up Hell…the Today show will probably do a spot on it for weeks

Outside of Florida, most still don’t know about Epic. I still have friends who are huge on Disneyland and USH who have no idea what it is even after I’ve told them about it!! The one organic mention I’ve seen of it in my life is a coworker asking me if I knew about a How to Train Your Dragon theme park. She still thinks it’s a park only about HTTYD. Our presence on these forums and communities is pretty insular. I’m pretty convinced Epic will be a success because of it’s quality, but I think it’s going to be a slow burn, not a runaway hit.

Some do Are Disney properties as dominant with young children today as they once were? That’s a better question worth looking into

Well kids nowadays spend their time on YouTube so I doubt any of those characters are as popular as they once were. But kids love theme parks and Disney dominates that world.

Going by the kids in my daughter's school, what my nieces are into and the different ads I see during what kid watches. Very little is Disney related other than Bluey. You can't tell me kids are into Disney IP as much as they were when the World of Disney was a show. I'm not saying kids aren't into Disney at all but with the amount of Kids related IP out there that isn't Disney you can't say the majority have Disney as the number 1.

It’s certainly a bold claim.

How can you possibly know that?

Jrb197912 hours ago

There is some kids that have an attachment but a lot don't.

No kids today have an attachment to Disney? Tell that to my niece… who has been begging to go, she’s 7.

Jrb197912 hours ago

That's cause you have an attachment to Disney. Today's kids don't have that attachment. My daughter is 5, what's big in her class is Bluey, Peppa and Mario. None of which is featured in that ad.

I thought it was a cute ad. I know if I was a young kid, and I saw that… I’d be dreaming of visiting.

While I have watched the ads, the different YouTube videos on the info of the parks does a much better job.

Yeah, we'll know in a few months how well Epic lands. If they do it right, it will be a blast. Hopefully, it will also be a wake-up call for Disney. The ads for Epic look promising.

Agreed. It's why IMO you see parks like Dollywood and Universal ranked up there with Disney now. While the legacy fans and fans here still prefer Disney, many average Americans are starting to choose those other parks.
