VIDEO - A look at the neon-lit entrance sign marquee at Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway

Although it wont be lit during park hours until the official March 4 opening, Disney carried out an overnight test of the new Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway sign in all its neon glory.

    After spending more time looking back at Railway recently, I can confidently say that it's my favorite ride again. I figured that it would be appropriate to share those stories yesterday for its 5th birthday!

    Not interested in anything about MMRR. Sorry, not sorry. It's a throwaway ADD-fest of an attraction which needlessly replaced a classic.

    I really do love this ride. I still just wish it was an addition to the park and not a replacement for GMR.

    It seems that 2025 and 2026 are going to be used to do a lot of maintenance that's been desperately needed. With Epic pulling some of the crowds away (it'll certainly still be busy) and no new rides to advertise until 2027, it's a great time to do it!

    Glad to see. It has be in absolutely awful condition for the past year, particularly the carpet. It was way beyond time.

    Big thread bump – MMRR has been getting some love recently, via @Drew the Disney Dude Ride originally opened March 5, 2020, so its fifth anniversary is coming up in a few days.
