Demolition work continues in the former Dino-Rama area at Disney's Animal Kingdom as part of preparations for the upcoming Tropical Americas expansion.
Dino-Rama Structures Now Fully Demolished
All of the structures slated for removal in the former Dino-Rama area have now been completely demolished. This includes:
- TriceraTop Spin
- Fossil Fun Games
- Cementosaurus dinosaur figure
With all these elements now cleared, the area has transitioned into a full-scale cleanup zone as crews work to prepare the site for its upcoming transformation.
Current Progress: Concrete Removal and Debris Clearing
Following the completion of structural demolition, crews are now focused on:
- Clearing remaining debris from the site
- Breaking up and removing the concrete ground that once paved Dino-Rama's midway area
What's Next for Tropical Americas?
With the demolition phase nearly complete, the next steps will likely involve:
- Site grading to level the cleared land
- Underground utility work to support the new area
- Initial groundwork for future buildings and attractions
A Look Ahead at Tropical Americas
The Tropical Americas expansion is set to feature:
- A new Encanto-themed attraction where guests will step inside the magical Madrigal family's casita
