Disney has started testing the single rider line at Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT, giving visitors a chance to bypass the standard queue in a new way.
The attraction, which opened in October 2021, originally featured a single rider entrance, but the option was never officially offered as a permanent part of the queue setup.
Last week, signs of testing have emerged, including some ride vehicles being fitted with numbered seat markers. These numbered seats are likely part of efforts to streamline loading and ensure solo riders can be efficiently placed in empty seats, maximizing ride capacity.
The single rider line, if adopted long-term, could offer guests an alternative for getting on the popular ride with a potentially shorter wait time. However, there has been no official announcement from Disney about making this queue option permanent. Testing may be limited or ongoing as Disney evaluates whether it meets operational goals and improves guest flow.
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is one of the headline attractions in EPCOT's World Showcase, offering a trackless 3D movie-based journey into the world of "Ratatouille."
Other Walt Disney World attractions also offer single rider lines, providing a similar option for guests who are comfortable riding separately from their party. Current attractions with single rider options include Test Track at EPCOT (currently closed for refurbishment), Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Disney has also recently been testing a single rider option at Star Wars:Rise of the Resistance. It's important to note that groups entering the single rider line will not be able to ride together, as the purpose of the line is to fill in available seats on a space-available basis.
