It appears the lettering that remained above the entrance has been removed - photo from today: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54462432635_5336d745f6_k.jpg

And just wants to bring that "spirit of optimism" that the original brought to Test Track!

It's supposed to be inspired by it... Disney has today announced that Imagineers, along with teams from Chevrolet are reaching back into history for inspiration – from the original World of Motion – and bringing that spirit of optimism to the next iteration of the Test Track attraction at EPCOT.

They never said this was going to be WOM, it's going to be Test Track. and why are we comparing a 20 year old rides update to a brand new built E ticket ride in the last 5? Will the Epic Universe comparison end? What's next? A new Mickey Mouse meet & greet is compared to Wizarding Paris as a land?

I just hope they come up with something to make the section that was the no ABS/ABS demonstration in 1.0 make the motion make sense. Not that it really felt like you were skidding in 1.0. I don't think it is possible to actually simulate locked up wheels skidding when the vehicle is being driven by rolling wheels. I can't think of anything good for the first part. The second part they could install a traffic light at the beginning and end of the straight section and make it that you are drag racing when the light turns green and then have to stop when the second one is red down the road.

Sure we do -- it'll be the exact same ride experience* as Test Track 1.0 and Test Track 2.0. *I don't actually believe this; the themed content is the most important part of the attraction (and as you said, we know little to nothing about that) -- just reminiscing about the claims that Tiana would be the same ride as Splash since the drops and track weren't changing. We do at least know what the physical experience will be like!

We don't even know anything about the ride experience itself publicly.

No, never was indicated to be - just that it would have some inspiration from it So could have a nod to the evolution of transportation, maybe some Easter eggs int he queue or on the ride at slow parts, maybe some elements of a call back to the music from WoM, etc. Definitely not going to make anyone think it is the return of the old attraction just fans of it might recognize some nods

So, from what I can gather, this won't actually be reminiscent of World of Motion at all?

It would be really cool if they had a peppers ghost model of a futuristic car at the end like WOM had

I would just paint the entire can Black. Any silver Gray is making it appear Grandpa Chevrolet building dealership!

Didn't they say drawing inspiration from, inspiration isn't World of Motion full theme.

Only if the plan is to a little nod to World of Motion but basically make it Test Track 3.0. Part of my reasoning is I was really hopeful of them actually bringing back World of Motion.
