Some exterior refurbishment work is underway at The Land pavilion in EPCOT's World Nature neighborhood.

Crews can be seen on the outside of the large glass dome cleaning the glass and metalwork.

The Land pavilion, which includes Soarin' and the Living with the Land boat ride, remains open as usual during the work.

Wouldn't be surprised if they swap it for a move "evergreen" film like the one its replaced... One of a few films I've only ever seen once at WDW, and I'm not alone. But politically? Who's to say!

Thatd be actually evil on Disney’s part. Climate change is, in fact, real, no matter if people dont want it to be.

Climate Change. Really goes hard on it in the latter half.

I've yet to see Awesome Planet, is there something specific in the show that they're (potentially) wanting to edit out? Why would they?

    MothFeb 04, 2025

Not entirely sure where to put this but I didn't want to give it it's own thread because I am 85% sure this is malarkey but I wanna see if anyone else can collaborate on this; I heard Awesome Planet might either be edited (for it's latter half) or swapped out in the future, my gut says "they're way too lazy to do that" but, I'm curious if anyone heard anything close to this? Once again, I'm not buying this myself, but I'm curious if anyone else In the Know has heard anything.

As I was spending my Christmas Eve reading up on the latest innovations in high-tech agriculture, I stumbled upon this gem. The world's first vertical strawberry farm in Richmond, VA. Straight out of LwtL. Major steps towards better, sustainable and affordable food production free of environmental challenges have been taken, with the "world's first farm to grow indoor, vertically farmed berries at scale" opening in Richmond, VA. It's backed by an international team of scientists that see this new phase of agriculture as a way to ease global food demands. The Richmond farm uses 97% less land and up to 90% less water than conventional farming, eradicates the use of pesticides, and the controlled environment and shorter supply chain will also lower pathogenic risk to crops. “I would like to see protected cropping or controlled environment agriculture treated as a separate discipline of plant science," added Gauthier. “If we are to increase food production by as much as 70% by 2050, we need to look at things differently. https://newatlas.com/manufacturing/world-first-vertical-strawberry-farm-plenty/

Rode LWTL a few times on my trip in October and one of those was during a heavy rainstorm. There was a pretty bad leak right as you enter the first greenhouse, so hopefully they are taking care of that during this refurb

Glad to see they are taking care of the BEST PAVILION in EPCOT. 😍
