The virtual queue and Lightning Lane for Tiana's Bayou Adventure quickly reached capacity early this morning as the Magic Kingdom's newest attraction begins its first official day of operations.

The virtual queue opened at 7 am this morning, with the Magic Kingdom at capacity for Annual Passholders but still available for date-based tickets.

Capacity for the 7 am virtual queue distribution was reached in just under 3 seconds, which is typical for virtual queue attractions including TRON Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. A second opportunity to join the virtual queue was available at 1 pm, and that reached capacity in less than 2 seconds.

Guests with Genie+ found that the Lightning Lane was also at capacity by 7:01am, restricting its availability to resort guests only.

Based on the Annual Passholder previews, we expect a progression rate of around 5 minutes per boarding group for guests in the virtual queue.

There’s always been some complaints/controversy with Splash. It just seemed to be more of a “Don’t think about it too long.” kind of thing.

The critters were kind of creepy.

This would have been a lie. There weren't any.

They could've done the easiest route and just say "we hear the complaints about Splash Mountain, and we have been working on a replacement. We can't announce anything specific at this time, but know we are working on something, and we will announce it when it's ready." Then they could've waited a few years before formally announcing it with more refined concept art. If all the concept art we got reflected the ride, there would be less complaints- we'd never have known Mama Odie's boat was going to go on top of the mountain, or that Naveen was going to play a larger role. Less to be upset about!

Iger said recently that they're using AI to "assist" in making their movies now (which likely explains the poor quality of the scripts), so with all that money they're saving by laying off their workers, you think we're gonna see it reinvested into the parks? Of course not! The board members can't buy more yachts if Disney spends money on improving the parks!

Somebody else already asked this, but is the one Naveen animatronic in the finale an A100? Seems pretty pointless to use an A100 on him considering he's in the background and doesn't even talk. I would love to hear just what exactly happened to make them rewrite the plot so many times. First it was "Louis chasing after his trumpet", then it was "Tiana searching for a special spice" and then it became the "find a band" crap we got. I wouldn't be surprised if the otter whose name escapes me at the moment (Timoleon?) was originally supposed to have a larger role, since there's that one piece of concept art showing him with more movement and expressions than the figure we got. Why is Mama Odie a more prominent character in this attraction than one of the film's MAIN CHARACTERS? Maybe they should've thought of that before they announced this retheme in the first place (WHILE the pandemic was going on!). Of course we know WHY they announced the retheme, but still... They're spoonbills, actually. But yeah, I recall that one piece of concept art from 2021 depicted a scene that isn't in either version of the attraction... Tiana and Naveen in a boat, a spoonbill, some turtles peeking out of the water...

Budgets are very tight for attractions....... Movies, not so much. ;)

Certainly, their movies didn’t bleed money in 2024. TBA can always be upgraded.

I bet you he recorded lines for an AA in the bayou scenes but it was cut due to budget constraints. Covid really squeezed Disney dry with all their parks being closed for a few months and then Disneyland being closed for about a year. All their other businesses bleed money (especially movies since 2020), so if the parks aren’t making much they aren’t making much. If Covid didn’t happen then I’m sure TBA would’ve had a lot more details in the show scenes. The concept art implied the flamingos from the movie would be in the bayou along with lots of other animals.

Who's he? Oh yeah. Some dude at Tiana's party. ;)

Especially since they hyped up bringing back his VA just for the safety speech at the station

Naveen being cut from the bayou portions of the ride will always upset me. He's my favorite Disney Prince, he definitely deserved to be a part of the ride.
