The Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort is preparing to open Lagoon, a new game room experience that will replace the former Picabu restaurant at the Dolphin.

Lagoon Games & Lanes

Lagoon will offer a mix of interactive gaming experiences, combining new releases with classic favorites. The space is designed to cater to families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for a fun indoor activity.

Dining at Lagoon

In addition to gaming, Lagoon will feature a dedicated dining area. Operating daily from 11:00am to 11:00pm, the menu will include a variety of food and drink options, ranging from snacks to full meals.

An opening date for Lagoon has not yet been announced.

I think everyone has one except for Caribbean. And maybe Riviera. But Riv has an abundance of outdoor rec games on their lawn.

Who even goes to arcades nowadays? I can't believe they just didn't put in a different restaurant.

There was a time when it was open 24 hours.

Sad, but true. I'm still amazed that many WDW hotels still have arcades.

Wow. I cannot even remember. I guess that is because it's been a long time since a WDW theme park was open past 11pm. I have memories of eating at Tubbi's after midnight after a park closing.

Will miss Tubbi's/ Picabu. Great space of food open late night!!! Will Dolphin/Swan have any late night options?? This space was always pretty busy on my trips.

The concept art shows the same very old arcade machines currently in its arcade room. If they're serving meals, still, then it's just the seating area being refurbished. The game room and the seating area has a connecting door. Seems like it will all be one big space.

I am concerned that the food options will be less than they were....and they were pretty meager, and because Disney hotels don't and won't create any late night dining, this was the last option on property without having to leave the area.... Disney needs a truly Late Night option... something that is open until midnight or later... Even something as simple as a decent diner type fare....where you can sit down and get a burger or sandwich or late night breakfast ... without having to take a $20 cab ride.

The should call it the fiesta fun center

It seems small. Of course, I grew up in the Fiesta Fun Center. But seriously, it looks small. And arcades are typically fairly empty when I walk by them on the property now.

Shame to loose Picabu, I always liked that place.

Interesting move as Picabu served an important spot in the Swalphin line up. I think it was basically the only quickservice available in the evening. Food wasn't great there... but it was nice after a late flight to pop in there for a quick meal.
