The sixth and final Starbucks at Walt Disney World opened this morning at Disney's Animal Kingdom on Discovery Island.
Taking the space of the former Creature Comforts gift shop, the space has been completely transformed into a Starbucks location, offering the full range of coffees, Starbucks pastries, and Disney speciality cupcakes.
The building has had an extensive makeover, both inside and other, giving it an all new look. The layout works very well, with a common central queue line leading to the baked goods.
From there, the line breaks into two ordering areas, and two pickup areas. The format follows the same successful formula used at the other in park locations.
Like all of the recent openings at Disney's Animal Kingdom, the theming work and detail is first class, staying very true to the parks identity. Even following the conservation theme, a portion of the proceeds from "Flat White Lattes" are going to saving the Cotton Top Tamarins in Colombia.
You'll find the new Starbucks on the walkway from the park entrance to Africa, just past Pizzafari. Its location on the way to the Safari should ensure it is extremely popular, particular in the mornings. Creature Comforts is open from park opening to park close daily.
