The merchandising issues could just be prep for when tariffs hit as so much of the clothing, accessories, keepsakes, pins etc are sourced from outside the US and any substantial price hikes are going to hit sales turnover.

From just now. Shop is much brighter. I wouldn’t say it’s “less themed” it’s just different. It was busy so I didn’t take wide shots, but it doesn’t feel empty of fixtures. I would give it a B+. 851704

It’s doing pretty well. Thematically? Up for debate. However, as mentioned lots on this forum, the boardwalk is missing a proper quick service, the deli isn’t built to function as that. (As I am typing this there are people behind me having this exact conversation about lack of proper QSR at this resort) I’m walking over to check out the shops and will report back.

Anyone know how the CBS is doing? I didn't think it was a good fit but been wrong at least three times today so 🤷‍♂️

Wider and emptier isn't the problem. It's the continuation of taking a lot of the theming away and making it all the same. It looks no different than a gift shop you find in most major hotels

I think sometimes the photo lens used makes the area look wider and emptier than in person

    The prevailing aesthetic. Thanks, Gensler!

I actually don't generally mind it, but there's something weird about the dearth of merchandise displays throughout the space. Maybe it's just photos versus reality, but it doesn't read as adequately populated.

I like it, feels very seaside and fresh, but retains elements to stay in the story. This is a better balance than when they decimated the Old Key West lobby.

    Very generic looking.

Another location they have downgraded for the worst. Screen Door is now half the size it use to be (update: a wall was removed since being there yesterday but still), barren, half the merch it use to have and not nearly as nice, same could be said for the store in the GF. They are making sure to strip everything that had any nice design, downsize it, and use the same left over paint. I don't think Imagineering is part of any this process anymore.

I don’t hate it. I think it’s the light brown color used on the doors and trim work ( that don’t match the dark wood ceiling beams) that makes these colors seem “off”. Hopefully not every room will look the same so the other rooms will have some better matching colors.
