The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers coming to Disney's BoardWalk at Walt Disney World looks likely to miss its 2023 opening.

The official Cake Bake Shop website has been updated to remove mention of opening in 2023.

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, will be replacing the ESPN Club, which closed as Walt Disney World shutdown during the pandemic.

Disney says, "The Cake Bake Shop will bring exquisite dining, delicious Afternoon Tea, delectable desserts, marvelous champagne and fanciful cocktails for an extraordinary and whimsical experience."

Probably the delay in opening was the construction of the kitchen. No reason to have the restaurant ready to open months, or more, before the commercial kitchen is operational

Thanks for the clarification.

A commercial kitchen ≠ a commercial factory. Disney uses commercial bakeries all across property to freshly make bread & desserts.

I know you weren't saying it was Disney's facility, just to me commercial factory seems like commercial and not fresh. Stock.

I'm skeptical of the pixie for it's literally everywhere 🙉🙈

Poor pixies….. that’s why I’m a vegetarian!

Disney uses the processed pixie dust with Yellow #5.

What are the ingredients like Disney bakery vs. cake bake?

Re-read what I wrote. Her stuff is made off-site, just like Disney's. I wasn't saying it was Disney's facility.

It can't be the same as Disney, it's her facility. Disney doesn't really care what's in their commercially made stored in packages items whether good, bad or not. For an upscale resort like Riviera I wouldn't touch any of the packaged stuff there which is a shame but no surprise it's Disney.
