Epcot showcases a host of international holiday customs and beloved Disney traditions Nov. 24 - Dec. 30.
'Tis the season for a heartfelt presentation of the Candlelight Processional Nov. 24 through Dec. 30 at America Gardens Theatre. Joined by a powerful 50-piece orchestra and mass choir, celebrity narrators including Angela Bassett and LeVar Burton recite the traditional Christmas Story during this joyous holiday favorite. Special packages that combine fine dining at select Epcot restaurants and preferred seating for the Candlelight Processional are available by calling 407/WDW-DINE.
The Candlelight Processional is just part of Holidays Around the World, an international celebration throughout World Showcase featuring choirs, fireworks, a glittering canopy of lights and nightly tree-lighting ceremonies. Holiday legends, traditions and foods of Christmas, Kwanzaa and Chanukah are highlighted.
Guests visiting Epcot also will have one last chance to experience Disney’s Millennium Celebration. The festivities continue through Jan. 1, 2001, with nightly spectacles, parades, exhibits and entertainment. The international festival features “Tapestry of Nations,” a musical cavalcade of colorful, giant puppets; “IllumiNations 2000: Reflections of Earth,” a laser-light show orchestrated to an original musical score; and Millennium Village, a multi-national pavilion celebrating cultural diversity.
