Destination D23 is just a couple of weeks away, and there is renewed hope today that we may get some announcements of future projects coming to Walt Disney World.
Notably, D23 provided a full schedule of panels for the event today, and the headliner presentation from Disney Parks boss Josh D'Amaro has a new description that sounds much more promising.
D'Amaro's presentation is now called "A Celebration of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow."
The description reads, "Join Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D'Amaro and special guests for an entertaining presentation looking to the future of Disney parks, featuring updates from around the world and some fun surprises along the way."
In early July, D23 described the presentation as "Join Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D'Amaro as he hosts a fun and entertaining presentation about what makes a Disney experience so magical and memorable for guests and fans around the world."
Several projects are in the works for Walt Disney World which we may hear more about, including the arrival of the Hatbox Ghost at Haunted Mansion, the new EPCOT nighttime spectacular, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, the new Disney Vacation Club tower at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and the completion of EPCOT's redevelopment.
D'Amaro may also take the opportunity to provide an update on the previously announced blue sky plans for Moana and Zootopia attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom or the Beyond Big Thunder Mountain plans for Magic Kingdom.
Disney will be live-streaming the presentation on Saturday, September 9 at 9:15am. Check back with WDWMAGIC to watch the live stream.
