The Lightning Lane Premier Pass continues to see strong demand during the busy holiday season, with Magic Kingdom and EPCOT selling out for December 21, 2024. Additionally, Magic Kingdom Premier Passes are now fully booked for December 27 and December 28, with prices reaching $449 on these dates.

December 21 Sell-Out Details

Magic Kingdom: Sold out at $419 per pass.
EPCOT: Sold out at $149 per pass.

December 21 is the start of the lead-up to Christmas week when holiday crowds at Walt Disney World reach peak levels. The Premier Pass's ability to provide one-time access to all Lightning Lane attractions in a single park has made it a must-have for guests navigating the holiday rush and willing to pay the asking price.

Additional Magic Kingdom Sell-Out Dates

Magic Kingdom Premier Passes are also now sold out for the following dates later in the holiday season:
December 27: Sold out at $449.
December 28: Sold out at $449.

Why the Premier Pass Is Selling Out

The Lightning Lane Premier Pass offers unmatched convenience during crowded times. Its key features include:

  • Flexibility: No need to book arrival windows for individual attractions.
  • All-Inclusive Access: One-time entry to all available Lightning Lane attractions in a single park for a day.
  • Photo Perks: Includes Disney PhotoPass digital downloads for select attraction photos and videos.

Magic Kingdom's popularity stems from headlining attractions like TRON Lightcycle / Run, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and holiday offerings such as Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and festive decorations. EPCOT's International Festival of the Holidays also draws large crowds with its holiday kitchens, Candlelight Processional, and seasonal entertainment.

Planning Ahead

  • Purchase Early: Eligible guests can buy the Premier Pass up to seven days before their resort stay. Availability is limited, so act quickly.
  • Monitor Trends: With December 27 and 28 sold out at Magic Kingdom, additional sell-out dates for New Year's week are likely.
  • Consider Alternatives: Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane single purchases may still be available for some attractions.

Looking Ahead to New Year's Week

With Christmas week sell-outs increasing, New Year's week will likely see similar trends, particularly for Magic Kingdom. Guests should watch availability closely and secure passes as early as possible.

$449 on top of general admission (100 bucks) spend 10 hours in the park so you are spending $54/hour to ride a a 5 minute ride. I can't see it but to each is own

If your marriage is riding on a premier pass, you have big issues.

That's a patient drug dealer. We had free Fast pass for over 20 years. I guess Disney plays the long game.

LLPP is a beautiful thing for Bob, Josh and Hugh for sure 🤣 I realize now when the free Fastpass first came out it was like the drug dealer giving you the drugs for free at first then when you come back for more, it’s like Tim Tracker says, “Now it’s time to pay the price”

Yes, that was an odd one. As someone who mostly does split stays with AKL and one other deluxe each visit without any issues I was surprised to learn from the forum that I can't actually afford it.

I don't either, it just is not even remotely surprising to me that others might have a different view. We live in a world where people purposely choose to consume fruitcake so no matter what I might think of something, there is always a group out there that will like it and more power to them. In this case it isn't even much of a stretch to see how useful the service could be to someone.

They think no one posting here can afford to stay at the Poly, so...yes. 😂

I just don’t think it’s a beautiful thing

You are just now learning that other people can value things differently than you?

Today I learned having people pay $400 bucks plus to skip a few rides is a “beautiful thing”

An excellent argument counselor. We all must remember TWDC, especially its theme park business (their movie business, not so much) exists to MAKE MONEY! To be honest their newest “product” LLPP is a beautiful thing, as close as you can come to 100 percent profit, “money for nothing” product that many folks who purchase this product will see an actual value in. LLPP is really is a beautiful thing; supply and demand of this product can be controlled with a few keystrokes of a keyboard.
